Small hands: Will it be a hindrance in learning how to play a guitar?

Someone told my that I have small hands, which is true.. I really want to learn how to play a guitar and am even planning on buying one very soon... I wanted to know if my small hands will make it difficult for me to learn how to play a guitar? Someone said that I'll get frustrated trying to playing a guitar, my small hands will make it difficult... Is my friend wrong or right?? Please tell me... :)
