2+2 college program ?

I'm planning on earning an AA degree in community college and then a Masters degree once I get into the university. I'm planning on becoming a meteorologist. If for some reason I don't get hired, would I be qualified to teach elementary or high school earth/space science or would I need to earn a teaching degree? I live in Manatee county, FL. Which would help me get the job as a meteorologist an A.A. or A.S. degree? Sources?
