What was the Spanish cleaning crew saying?

A cleaning crew came into my apartment today and started cleaning our bathrooms. While they were in my roommate's bathroom, I heard one of them yell something that sounded like "Pelo! Pelo! Mira!" followed by laughter. I really want to know what was so funny.
