Is it me or is there a poor selection of Christmas wrap this year?

I am most disappointed in the selection of Christmas wrapping paper and gift adornments that are offered in all the shops this year. I have been EVERYWHERE and have seen them all yet I have yet to find one design, texture or pattern to jump out at me and scream "style, joy and pizazz". What, did all the best commercial designers get laid off in '08? How am I ever going to present my gifts wrapped in these shabby papers and drab ribbons. Ick!
