Am i eligible for Food Stamps? (Georgia)?
Food stamps are based solely on household income... not on health problems. Are you living at home with your parents, or do you live on your own? If you live on your own and currently have no income, then you can apply for expedited food stamps. If you live with your parents, they will have to apply for food stamps... not you because you're still in high school and living with them. If you quit, then you won't qualify for unemployment. It's not a hazard for a manager to expect you to work 5 or 6 hours. When you applied for the job would have been the time to discuss your health problems. Most applications ask if you can do the job with reasonable accomodations. If you cannot work a full shift then you should have put no. The food stamp application will not ask you if you had heart problems. You'll be required to have information on savings, checking, your vehicle if you have one, rent statements, utility bills, etc. You will have to be registered and actively seeking work if you qualify for food stamps. But again, this depends on whether you're living on your own or if you're living at home.
