Why do so many people of faith say that religion and god have been around forever and will last forever?

forever means just that forever. religion has to have a beginning and an end like everything else.It could not have existed 200,million years ago when the dinosaurs ruled the earth and it cannot exist forever because time is infinite and humans wont be around for infinity to practice it. religion as we know it has been around for only 30,000 years and history is littered with dead religions and christianity and islam are no exceptions to that rule. Gods have come and gone throughout time. rah for example, is a long since dead god that nobody practices anymore. It was only practiced by the ancient Egyptians 5,000 years ago and their civilization is long since gone so I come back to my original question as to why do religious people say faith has no end?
